
Representatives from the DIV and IDIC attended the study visit
During the visit, Mr. Nguyen Linh Nam, Mr. Herman Saheruddin – Acting Chief of the Office of Banking Restructuring Preparation and Institutional Relations, and Mr. Dwityapoetra S. Besar – Executive Director of the Surveillance, Examination, and Statistics, exchanged views on the overall financial and banking systems of both countries as well as the core operations of each institution.

Overview of the working session
In the working sessions, IDIC experts briefed the DIV delegation on several key topics, including data governance, supervision and special control mechanisms, deposit insurance payout process, information technology systems and the application of artificial intelligence, and deposit insurance fund management strategies. The sessions and discussions were engaging and productive, enabling the delegation to gain valuable knowledge and practical experiences.

In addition, the DIV delegation participated in a working session with a delegation from the Indonesian Financial System Stability Committee, led by Mr. Arief Wibisono -Committee’s Secretary. At the session, experts from the Committee shared insights into the Committee’s roles and organizational structure, experience in simulating national crisis resolution, and the framework of Indonesia’s financial system. These were practical and valuable sharings that supported the DIV’s research and policy advisory efforts.

Mr. Nguyen Linh Nam presented a gift to Mr. Arief Wibisono, Secretary of the Financial System Stability Committee.
The study visit yielded positive outcomes, strengthening cooperation between the DIV and the IDIC and equipping the DIV with valuable practical experience and insights to support its advisory role in developing guiding documents for the amended Law on Deposit Insurance and enhancing the capacity of key personnel. These outcomes lay an important foundation for the effective implementation of new responsibilities stipulated by the Law, thereby contributing to the continued effective growth of Vietnam’s deposit insurance system.
