The DIV conducts a training course on providing special loans

In two days from March 14 to 15, 2022, the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (DIV) held a training course on providing special loans for more than 70 participants who are directors and staff from relevant departments at the DIV's Headquarters and regional branches. The training course is conducted in the form of hybrid face-to-face and online conferencing, connected with the DIV's branches' bridge points in every region, ensuring the full conformance to the prevention and control measures of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank), who supported in developing contents, programs, and the proposal of lecturers for this training course, is one of the leading banks in Vietnam holding a good brand value in the international market. Trainers are competent experts from Vietinbank possessing high qualifications and many years of experience in the banking industry.

In the opening speech of the training course, Mr. Dao Quoc Tinh - General Director of the DIV - stated: According to Circular No. 08/2021/TT-NHNN, dated July 6, 2021, on providing special loans to credit institutions placed under special control, the DIV is one of the organizations having the function to perform this operation. From the reception of these new tasks, the DIV's Board of Directors has always paid great attention to the training and fostering of the DIV's human resources, especially all operational staff in general and staff participating in special control in particular. Therefore, the General Director hoped that the training course would contribute to the improvement of professional knowledge and skills in providing special loans to credit institutions placed under special control.

The participants were trained on the following topics: credit procedures for credit institutions placed under special control; collaterals and risks handling; loans evaluation for credit institutions placed under special control. In addition, the participants also received practical experience, guidance and practiced assessment and analysis to improve their knowledge and understanding of providing special loans.

The training session was filled with excitement as participants engaged in active problem-solving exchanges and discussions, creating unity and efficiency in implementing and improving of professional quality in the DIV's whole system.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Binh - Deputy General Director of the DIV – highly appreciated the training course results,  the training organization committee and the lecturers' efforts. After the training course, the trainees will need to apply learned knowledge and information creatively and effectively in their responsibilities; at the same time actively conduct research, exchange experience, and accumulate more necessary knowledge and skills to successfully fulfill their duties and contribute to improving the operational efficiency of the DIV.
