The Deposit Insurance of Viet Nam 10th anniversary celebration
“10 years of operation is not a long journey but during the time DIV has obtained some remarkable achievements”. That is a part of speech by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Mr. Nguyen Van Giau at the 10th anniversary celebration of DIV on 10 December 2009 in Hanoi.

It is vital to maintain safety for the financial system
 Under the current circumstance of global turbulence, the banking and finance sector has shown its sensitiveness and vulnerability. Therefore, the principle of “safety first” should be set as priority, especially at the current time when exists a greater interference among credit, stock and property markets. The safety issue must draw special attention of all credit institutions because by ensuring the safety of the banking system, the benefits of the whole economy and millions of depositors would be protected. This is also indispensable for the survival of the financial institutions themselves. Mr. Mai Minh De, Chairman of DIV’s Board of Directors expressed his opinions in an interview:
